One of the most versatile ways of decorating glass is the lamination process. Two or more pieces of glass are “sandwiched” together using different techniques and the design is permanently encapsulated between the layers. There are innumerable ways of creating colors, patterns, and using organic material as well as fabrics which will help enhance any design.
Laminated glass is held together typically by various forms of resin which gives the glass added acoustical and safety benefits. Most of the fabrication is done prior to the glass being laminated. Thickness vary allowing the designer to be very specific in which size is preferred for the project.
